With over 35 years of experience in the fascinating Ergonomics, Office Design and Commercial Interiors industry I have been lucky to have trained with great people and companies such as Herman Miller, Jackson Campbell Architects, Wakefields and Sol Construction.
My passion for ergonomics in the workplace comes from seeing first-hand the difference it makes. My aim is to help and guide customers with information to enable them to create the best ergonomic work space they possibly can. Inform and inspire with well-educated straight-talking advice, helping on all manner of ergonomics related topics from how to sit correctly and encourage good posture to wellbeing at work. All of these have a direct influence on our work and home life…..
The NHS alone spend over £5 billion annually in treating and supporting people with MSK conditions (Public Health England June 2019)
In 2017, MSK conditions were the biggest cause of sickness absence which accounted for over 28 million days lost in work (22.4% of total sickness absence). This cost the UK an estimated £7 billion a year. (Public Health England June 2019)

Decades of experience is in everything we do. Throughout my career I have ensured my knowledge and skills are up to date with CPD training in Ergonomics, Posture and Performance in the Workplace, Postural Assessments and Corrective Exercise, DSE, and Ergonomic Seating Assessments.
As a Partner and Director in a successful Commercial Interiors and Office Furniture company in Leicestershire I was able to drive it forwards with new initiatives, winning many local and regional government tenders. But I wanted to specialise in ergonomics having seen the problems existing ‘off-the-shelf’ seating ranges can cause. So came the dream of Ergonomic Chairs-Direct Ltd. With the specific aim: to be customer focused with help, information and advice and supply preventative and corrective seating solutions for people with postural needs, or who just want a comfortable chair. All made to BS standards, at a reasonable price.
Our seating has been developed through continuous innovation and consultation with health professionals, physiotherapists, chiropractors, osteopaths and ergonomists. We are proud to have a wide range of great ergonomic chairs that are UK manufactured and 99% recyclable.
We still remain steadfastly focused on the individual. We are confident that our products are at the cutting edge of ergonomic innovation. We have not deviated from our original mission. We are specialists in our area. We have been lucky enough to help many thousands of people to sit comfortably, improving their quality of life. People with conditions ranging from a generic “bad back” to complex musculoskeletal disorders.
